"Risk comes from not knowing what you're doing." — Warren Buffett
How the Desk Works
This is the trading journal every Hou5eMoney member uses to build discipline in a paper (simulated) account — practice and education only, never a step toward trading real money. Everything saves automatically to your device — nothing leaves your browser. Type what you traded, why you took it, what the dashboards said. Review weekly. Find your edge. The dashboards tell you what the market is doing; the Desk tells you what you're doing.
Set your account size first under Account / Risk. That powers the 10% rule and per-trade stop sizing.
Run the daily routine in the order the Schedule shows — premarket prep, prime window, power close.
Log every trade as it closes. Pick Shares or Options Spread — the form changes to match.
Journal at the end of day. Two minutes. Did you obey the rules? What did the desk say? What did you do?
Review weekly. The metrics on the Dashboard tell you where you actually leak money.
Export your data any time — it downloads as a single JSON file you can back up or move to another device.
The Hou5eMoney Creed
Read it once. Then read it before every session.
01Trade with the trend. Never against it.
02If any dashboard says CHOP, the answer is no.
03Match every entry to the dominant trend on all five indicators.
04When colors disagree, stand aside. Cash is a position.
05Stops are non-negotiable. Place them before the entry, never after.
06Size for the loss, not the win. The market is not a coin flip.
07When the Exit Dot fires, you exit. The next setup will come.
08The chart owes you nothing. You owe yourself discipline.
09Paper-trade only. This is practice and education — never real money.
10If you didn't follow the rules, it wasn't the system that lost. It was you.
« Trade the plan. Let the colors guide you. Your only job is to obey them. »

Paper-Trade Only
Practice on the built-in paper account — this is a learning and practice tool, for simulated trading only. Nothing here is a recommendation to trade real money. Trading is a form of gambling — never risk what you can't afford to lose. Log every practice trade here. Discipline beats prediction every single time the bell rings.
⚙ Set Your Starting Account Size
Your paper account is on the $10,000 default. Type the size you actually want to practice with in the Starting Account Size field below — equity, free cash and the 10% / 1% caps all run off it, and it sticks to your account.

Expectancy — Why It's The Number That Matters
Win rate is a comforting number, but a misleading one. Expectancy is what separates real traders from hopeful ones — it tells you how much you earn, on average, per unit of risk. Expectancy = (Win % × Avg Win R) − (Loss % × Avg Loss R). Positive expectancy = your system has an edge. Negative = it loses money no matter how good individual trades feel. Recalculate it monthly.

Equity = your starting size (set below) + realized + open P/L on paper positions. In trades is what your open positions tie up (a debit, or a credit spread’s width less the credit); free cash is the rest — there is no margin here. The desk refuses any ticket over the 10% cap or over your free cash. Simulated money, modeled prices — simulated performance does not ensure success in a live environment.
The 10% / 1% Rule
Position-sizing is the single decision that keeps you in the game. The Hou5eMoney rule:
Risk at most 10% of your account in any single trade — and within that trade, lose at most 1% of your account if your stop fires.
If your account is $10,000, your largest position is $1,000 and your max loss on that trade is $100. The other 90% sits in cash, ready for the next setup. Cash is a position.
Your Account
Pick a size or type your own. $10,000 is the default. Saved to your account — every paper ticket, on every device, is sized against it.
Closes every open paper trade at the mark, cancels working orders, and starts the record over at the size above. The old trades stay in your Log.
Realized on closed trades: paper trades plus anything you logged by hand.
Starting + Net P/L.
The biggest dollar amount you should ever put into one trade.
If your stop hits, this is the maximum dollar damage allowed.
Hit this number — close the laptop. The market will be here tomorrow.
For the size calculator only. The paper desk holds the line at 10% — it will not take a bigger ticket.
Default 3%. When you hit this — done for the day.
Your Broker
Paper trading needs none of this — your paper account is already open, on the Monitor tab.
When you want to place an idea for real, you place it at your own broker: Hou5eMoney never sends an order
anywhere and never touches a brokerage account. Pick your broker once here and every ticket set to My broker
writes the order out for you to paste and opens your broker’s trade screen in a new tab.
Pick your broker
Any broker works — including one that isn’t listed. Trade opens their web trade screen,
Site their home page if you have no account there yet. Every card carries the full trade; the written-out ticket is
there so you type nothing twice. Always check the numbers on your broker’s screen before you send: their quotes are live, ours are delayed.
Funded (prop) accountsTrade their capital, keep a split
A prop firm funds you after an evaluation: you trade their account on their platform and keep most of the profit. The same
10% / 1% sizing applies there, only stricter — their daily-loss limits end the account. Prove the habit on paper first.
Hou5eMoney has no relationship with any of these firms; do your own diligence on fees and payout terms.
Position Size Calculator
Type entry, stop, and your risk % — the calculator tells you how many shares you can take.
Three Rules That Save Accounts
Never override the size calculator — if it says 33 shares, you take 33, not 100. Your gut isn't a position-size model.
Hit the daily loss limit, you're done — not "one more to break even." That's revenge, and revenge is how accounts blow up.
Stops go in before the entry — not after. A mental stop is a wish, not a stop.

A target fills at your price the moment the mark reaches it. A stop fills at the mark once it is through — like a stop-market at a broker, a gap fills worse. Checked every time you open this page and every 2 minutes during the session. A notice pops up on any page the moment one fills.

A LIMIT (target) fills at your price the moment the mark reaches it. A STOP fills at the mark once the price is through — a gap fills worse. One target and one stop per position; sending a new one replaces the old. A fill closes the position and cancels the other side. Prices are per contract, delayed.

"Hands free, eyes free — let the desk speak."
The market opens at 7:30 AM MT (9:30 AM ET) and closes at 2:00 PM MT (4:00 PM ET). Not all of those hours are equal. This schedule tells you exactly what to run, when to push, and when to keep your hands in your pockets.

The Six Scanners

A+ Setups — Reference Library
"When all five agree, size up. When they don't, sit out — cash is a position."
A+ — Confluence Buy (Highest Priority)
WHAT YOU SEE: Trigger fires a cyan CONFLUENCE BUY arrow — FLOW CVD and the HM5 Exit Dot are both aligned bullish simultaneously. This is the desk's single strongest long trigger. Grid is HOLDING BULL. Pulse STRENGTH is rising.
THE TRADE: Buy the close immediately. Stop below the bar's low. Trail with the fast EMA. Do not hesitate on this trigger — it is the most filtered entry the desk has.
A+ — Reclaim Buy (Stop-Run Reversal)
WHAT YOU SEE: Price sweeps below a prior swing low (stop-hunting), then closes back above that level. Trigger fires a gold RECLAIM BUY arrow. Price is above the big EMA. Bar closes bullish.
THE TRADE: Enter on the reclaim candle close. Stop just below the swept low. Take half off at the prior high, trail the rest.
A+ — Triple-Confirm Breakout
WHAT YOU SEE: Trigger fires a yellow BREAKOUT arrow. Pulse strength strongly positive with a yellow breakout dot. Flow prints a yellow ACCEL UP bar. Grid prints GRID: BUY. Tide is HEAVY BULL FLOW or UNUSUAL BULL SURGE.
THE TRADE: Buy the close of the breakout bar. Stop just under the breakout candle's low. Target = height of the prior range, then trail with the fast EMA.
A+ — Dip Buy with CVD Absorption
WHAT YOU SEE: Trend is BULL on all dashboards. Price pulls back to the fast EMA. Trigger fires a lime BUY DIP arrow. Flow shows a cyan divergence dot and BIAS flips back to BULL. Pulse STRENGTH curls up off the zero line.
THE TRADE: Buy the close. Stop just below the dip low. Target the prior swing high or trail with the fast EMA.
A+ — Rip Fade with CVD Divergence
WHAT YOU SEE: Higher-timeframe trend is BEAR. Price rips into the fast EMA. Trigger fires a pink SELL RIP arrow. Flow drops a red divergence dot — buyers pushed up but flow shows sellers absorbing. BIAS flips to BEAR.
THE TRADE: Short the close. Stop above the rip high. Target the prior swing low.
A+ — Trap Reversal
WHAT YOU SEE: A breakout/breakdown fires against the macro trend, then immediately fails. Pulse drops a cyan or red trap dot. Flow shows opposite-color absorption. The next candle closes back through the midpoint of the trap bar.
THE TRADE: Enter on the trap candle close. Stop above/below the failed extreme. These move fast — take half off quickly and trail the rest.
★ The Elite Full-Stack Setup
When ALL of these line up at once — things can RUN. This is A+. Every reading lined up. Size up, let it run, trail tight.

Rating
Your Discipline Rating moves on how you trade, never on whether a trade won. Six checks per closed paper trade; six for six is +30 even on a loss. Overriding a stop costs more than any loss.
The ladder
Everyone starts at 1,000. Rookie below 900, Apprentice to 1,099, Disciplined to 1,299, Pro to 1,499, Master from 1,500. There is no ceiling and no floor below 100.
The six checks
Tape idea graded B or better
You took it from one of the Trade Radar lists on The Tape (Vertical Spreads, Options Flow, Naked Trades, Condors, Share Setups, Futures Setups) while its card showed a B, A or A+. The desk calls those lists boards. A name you typed into the Trade tab yourself, with no idea card behind it, fails this one.
With the trend
You traded the way the idea card said the chart was leaning. The lists only show ideas that go with the trend, so taking the card’s side passes.
10% or less
The trade tied up a tenth of the account or less. The ticket stops you above that, so this is the free one.
Exit set within 30 minutes
A target or a stop was resting on the position within half an hour of the fill. Exits on the Monitor tab, or from the card.
Let the exit close it
The exit order closed it. Closing by hand with an order resting is an override, and it fails. Closing by hand with nothing resting fails the check above instead.
Journal notes written
You saved a Journal entry on the day it closed, or the day after.
Every graded trade
Season board
Ranked by Discipline Rating, then paper P/L. The top ten at month end get the opening call in the Live Room; the top trader gets a coaching session. Set the name you want on the board:
The site’s feed is 15 minutes behind. Connect your own tastytrade account and every chart runs on live candles, with real-time quotes and chains on the Trade tab — your data, shown only to you. The tastytrade account has to be funded to get live candles; an unfunded account sends 15-minute delayed data.
How it works. You sign in at your broker and allow Hou5eMoney to read market data on your behalf. We never see your password and never place an order. Your broker’s data is licensed to you, so it is shown only while you are signed in here, and only to you.
A tastytrade connection holds until you disconnect it. Once it is on, everything goes live for you: the candles on every chart (all timeframes, refreshed every minute), the option chain with the market’s own IV, greeks, open interest and volume, and the underlying strip. tastytrade only sends real-time data to funded accounts — an account with no money in it gets 15-minute delayed data, so fund it (any amount) before you test the feed. Schwab and Tradier are coming; they are waiting on the brokers, not on us. Members without a connection keep the 15-minute feed with the current price on the latest candle.
Guide
How every tab works, how to read the order ticket, how to build a trade, how to get out of one, and where the numbers come from.
The Seven Tabs
Monitor is home, laid out like a broker’s Activity and Positions page. Balance & reset on top (size picks, Reset, Erase). Then Today’s Trade Activity: Working, Filled and Canceled orders, one row per leg, red rows sell and green rows buy. Then the Position Statement: every spread with its legs, mark, mark change, delta, P/L Open, P/L Day and BP Effect, subtotals per name, and your account status line.
Desk Lab (lab.html) replays the desk’s rule books on the real ledger: pick a board, stop, ceiling, hold and size and see what the account would have done. The earnings week with the desk read and the weekly leaderboard live there too.
Chart (in the top bar) is the full trade station: any symbol on live candles, the chain and strategies, time & sales, alerts, the desk read on the name, and one-click orders to this paper account.
Trade is the chart, the option chain and Order Entry on one screen. Load a vetted symbol, read the chart, click the chain to build a spread, send it.
Community (top nav) is the feed: paper trades members chose to share, built by the site with the grade and the six checks, plus the desk’s upcoming events and lessons. Post yours with the Post button on any Monitor row or graded trade.
Rating is your Discipline Rating: six checks on every closed paper trade, none on profit. Today’s three tasks and streak, every graded trade with its checks, the season board, and your replay rating from Play.
Account is your starting size ($10K default; pick $20K, $50K, $100K or your own), the Paper Account cards, the 10% / 1% / 3% calculators and the broker you place real trades at.
Log is every closed trade. Paper trades write themselves in; add by hand anything placed at a broker.
Journal is where you write your notes after each trade, plus quick notes during the session.
Live Data connects your own Schwab or tastytrade. Once connected, every chart runs on live candles, and the Trade tab’s chain carries real-time quotes, IV, greeks and open interest. Schwab connections last seven days; tastytrade holds until you disconnect.
Guide is this page. Everything you type is saved on this device; paper positions and orders live on the desk and follow you between devices. Press Export once a week to back the rest up.
The 10% Rule Is Enforced
No ticket may tie up more than 10% of your equity, and there is no margin: what a trade ties up must be free cash. Every ticket shows Ties up $X = Y% of your account before you send — green is fine, amber is near the cap, red will not send and tells you the most contracts it would take. The other 90% stays free for the next setup and for defending what is on. Reset closes everything at the mark and restarts the record; Erase deletes every trade and starts fresh.
Reading The Order Ticket
Every ticket on the site is laid out the way a broker’s order screen is. Tap the ? on any ticket for the same read in place.
SPREAD · SIDE · QTY
What the trade is (SINGLE, VERTICAL, IRON CONDOR, BUTTERFLY, STRADDLE, STRANGLE, STOCK), which legs you buy and sell, how many. Green rows buy, red rows sell.
TO OPEN / TO CLOSE
Whether the order starts a position or takes you out of one.
PRICE
Per contract. Options trade 100 shares a contract, so 2.50 = $250 each. A DEBIT (red, everywhere on the site) is what you pay and the most you can lose; a CREDIT (green) is what you collect. The rows are colored by side like a broker’s, BUY green and SELL red; the line under the price says PAY or COLLECT in words. Flip turns the whole ticket around.
NAT
Natural — the price that fills right now: you pay the ask on what you buy and take the bid on what you sell. Worst price, fastest fill.
MID
Halfway between bid and ask on each leg. The fair-ish price; most fills happen near it with a little patience.
THE SLIDER
Runs cheaper on the left to pricier on the right, whichever of Nat or Mid that is. Toward the market = fills sooner, worse price. Better than mid = may wait.
EXPECTED PRICE
Where the stock has to be at expiry for this to break even, and how far that is from here.
FILLS NOW / RESTS
At or through the market it fills at once at your price. Better than the mid it rests as a working order and fills when the spread gets there — or you Modify it closer, or Cancel it.
Building A Trade On The Chain
Type a vetted symbol and press Load. The Underlying strip, the chart and the chain fill in. Pick an expiration pill; the row under it shows implied volatility and the expected move.
Choose a Spread (Single, Vertical, Iron Condor, Butterfly, Straddle, Strangle) and a Width. Click an Ask to buy, a Bid to sell; the other legs build themselves.
Right-click a price (press and hold on a phone) for the full menu: BUY or SELL by spread type, Analyze on the chart, add to watchlist, copy the contract symbol.
Order Entry shows one row per leg. Set the price with the slider or the steppers, set the quantity, read the expected price and the 10% line, then Confirm and Send.
The Order and Strategy Book under it lists every order today with its status and Modify / Cancel on the working ones. The Position block shows what you hold in that name.
Getting Out
Close on the row (Monitor or Trade tab): closes at the current mark, books the result, writes it to the Log.
Exits opens the closing ticket: a target (LIMIT — fills at your price when the mark reaches it) and/or a stop (fires once the price is through it, fills at the mark; on the spread or on the underlying). OCO sets both; a fill cancels the other side. The +25 / +50 / +100% chips match the playbook’s exit rules.
Resting orders show under Working Orders with the live mark and distance. They are checked every two minutes through the session and every minute while you have the site open. Fills and cancels go to Filled / Canceled and the Order and Strategy Book.
Placing It At Your Broker
Hou5eMoney never places a real order and never connects to a brokerage. Pick your broker once (Account → Your Broker; every tile has a Trade link and a Site link, and prop firms are listed too). Then a ticket set to My broker writes the order out for you to paste and opens your broker’s trade screen. Check every number there: their quotes are live.
Where The Numbers Come From
Charts and the chain are about 15 minutes behind unless you connect live data. Paper positions are marked with a model calibrated to the price you filled at, against a live last trade; delta, mark change and P/L Day come from the same model. A mark here will not match a real broker to the cent, and a good paper month never guarantees a good real one. Simulated performance does not ensure success in a live environment.
